What could be more whimsical than a hand-crafted miniature castle? Students will be investigating medieval castle architecture, terminology and function, and create their very own castle designs. In this lesson, students will be taught the slab-building technique, while focusing on the elements of art and principles of design. Students will be specifically focusing on form, line, pattern and variety as they create their own castle out of clay.
