7th grade artists learned about the artist, Vincent Van Gogh and drew inspiration from his swirling brushstrokes and brilliant colors. With the new movie release, Loving Vincent the students created vibrant and emotional landscapes that incorporated distinct line marks. Enjoy the student's final result!
In this lesson, 8th graders developed their skills in observational drawing by training their eye to see what they actually see versus what they think they see. They were challenged to create a surreal "handscape" involving their hand passively or actively in an unlikely or surprising environment! Check out the stunning results!
The parents came back to school and created an awesome collaborative mural based on the style of artist, Keith Haring. She answered the question"Art is ..." while add color and patterns to their designs. Check out their awesome work!
Students were introduced to the very basics of graphic design. Students used the iPad and the apps, SketchbookX and Brushes Redux to create self portraits and animal digital paintings. The students learned what a layer is as they created their master pieces.
