Thank you so much to the OAS PTA for accepting my grant to buy an iPad mini and ipad stand for my classroom! I am completely OBSESSED with my new gadgets and cannot wait to INCORPORATE into my teaching! My students and I are very APPRECIATIVE!! Thank you again!In this lesson, students will be introduced to Ancient Egyptian art history, while specifically focusing on the value of Canopic Jars. Students will explore the elements of art and principles of design as they use clay as their primary material. Students will be creating meaningful artwork that expresses what they value. In this lesson, students will be introduced to weaving by learning about its’ importance and the terminology associated with weaving. The students will be focusing on the elements of art and principles of design as they create their own, colorful designs.
IN THIS LESSON, STUDENTS WILL STUDY THE WORK OF STREET INSTALLATION ARTIST, MARK JENKINS. STUDENTS WILL COLLABORATIVELY WORK TOGETHER TO CAST DIFFERENT FORMS BY WRAPPING CLEAR PACKING TAPE IN REVERSE AND THEN RESEALING IT. STUDENTS WILL BE FOCUSING ON BOTH THE ELEMENTS OF ART AND PRINCIPLES OF DESIGN AS THEY CREATE INTERESTING SCULPTURES. |
